Our standard in-clinic appointment type for kids of all ages. Please select an initial assessment if you've never been to the clinic or if it's for a new concern. Choose a follow-up session if you've played with us before!


Physiotherapy for Infants

These appointments are designed for babies 0-18mo. Please note, feeding-specific appointments are intended for infants under 6 months of age. Bring your baby in to see us if you have any concerns with their developmental milestones and movement, head turning preference or flat spots, or if you would like to self- refer (or have been referred by another provider) for any other concerns.


Physiotherapy for Concussion

These appointments are for concussion related services including baseline testing, post concussion assessment and treatment. Our clinic is associated with Complete Concussion Management Inc (CCMI).


Physiotherapy for Pelvic Health

If your child struggles with continence or pelvic floor dysfunction, these specialized appointments with our Pelvic Health physiotherapists can help. Be sure to book an Initial Assessment if you have not previously been seen by one of our physiotherapists for Pelvic Health concerns.


Physiotherapy - Dynamic Movement Intervention

Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) therapy is a therapy approach used to treat children of all ages with gross motor delays. These techniques are primarily for children with neurological deficits that may be congenital or acquired and the specific exercises are designed to teach the child's body to move in new and functional ways.

We are now offering Aquatic Therapy services. Our physiotherapists can treat children of all ages with various orthopaedic, neurological, and/or cardiovascular conditions. We are now offering Aquatic Therapy services. Our physiotherapists can treat children of all ages with various orthopaedic, neurological, and/or cardiovascular conditions. There are many physiological benefits to being in the water - therapeutic goals can range anywhere between spasticity management to functional strength training and beyond.

Initial assessments will be completed "on-land" at the Halifax Kids Physio clinic. Pool sessions will be offered at the Canada Games Centre.


Physiotherapy - Virtual Services & Phone Consults

These services are offered through a secure online platform from the comfort of your home. Please give us a call to book a complimentary consultation if you would prefer this appointment type but are not sure whether it is right for you.

Lindsey graduated with her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2017 from Glasgow Caledonian University in Glasgow, Scotland, and returned to Nova Scotia to practice ever since. She has worked with children in many different environments from coaching soccer and basketball to riding support with equine therapy. She loves being able to support kids with their physical goals and let them enjoy exploring movement in different environments.

Lindsey is thrilled to be joining Kids Physio in Halifax and to become part of the community. She is excited to work with talented healthcare professionals, local community groups and sports teams who prioritize kids’ physical development. She has particular interest in working with kids in the sports arena and has completed Complete Concussion Management Courses to help kids get back to life and sports safely.

Lindsey was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and has lived here most of her life. Lindsey grew up playing many sports including soccer, skiing, and field hockey, prompting her to choose a career that involved promoting physical activity! Lindsey received a bachelor of science in biology at Acadia University where she had the opportunity to participate in programs such as SMILE and kinderskills and support children in reaching their goals. Lindsey then moved to Hamilton, Ontario to pursue her Master’s in Physiotherapy at McMaster University where she received the CANChild Award for Academic Excellence in Pediatrics and was a volunteer at Hamilton Kids Physio.

Lindsey has worked with children in many capacities such as a camp counsellor, SMILE buddy, coach, and now physiotherapist! She is excited to offer her hometown pediatric physiotherapy services to help children and teens reach their goals and get back to what’s important to them!

When not working with kiddos you’ll find Lindsey spending time with her friends and family, working on research projects, taking walks, and playing soccer.

Sam graduated from the MSc Physiotherapy program right here in Halifax at Dalhousie University. She took on her first job in rural Northern BC and within six months of working started treating kids.

Sam has experience working with kids of all ages and abilities. She loves the energy they bring to each session. Sam enjoys the challenge of creating exercise programs that families can easily implement in their daily routines. Sam has two young girls of her own and knows how busy the days can get!

Harriet is currently a 4th-year student in the BSc Kinesiology program at Dalhousie University. She hopes to become a physiotherapist in the future and has just finished her application. Harriet grew up in Newfoundland and played volleyball competitively throughout high school. Over the years she has coached kids in volleyball, soccer, and baseball.

Her passion for working with children and expanding her knowledge of paediatric physiotherapy is what has brought her to join the KPG team.

Paige was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. Paige grew up playing many sports such as soccer, hockey, track and field, and snowboarding. Being active as a child and into adulthood inspired Paige to pursue a career in Physiotherapy. Paige found a passion in working with kids as a coach, and volunteer in physical literacy programs. Paige completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at Saint Francis Xavier University and a Masters of Physiotherapy at Dalhousie.

Paige sees all ages and loves to create fun, engaging and effective sessions. Paige is excited to be part of a team that strives to support kids and families in their participation in activities.

Australian born, Kathryn studied Physiotherapy in Sydney, Australia, and quickly learned her passion within the profession lay with Paediatrics. She worked at the major outpatient centre for children in Hobart, Tasmania before moving to Canada in 2010. Kathryn loves working with kids of all ages and abilities, and has special interest and experience working with children with significant delays. Lori is a proud Newfoundlander who has spent her career working with children and their families. She first completed her degree in Marine Biology and worked all over the world. She returned to the east coast to complete her physiotherapy training at Dalhousie University in 2003. Lori began her career in rural B.C. working in pediatrics and knew she had found her happy place. She moved to Halifax in 2010 and has experience in acute care, functional family-centred rehabilitation and community care, oncology rehabilitation, and neurological rehabilitation. She is also a passionate community educator delivering on the importance of early relationships, connection and environment in fostering sensory and movement skills in children.

Lori has a particular interest and post-graduate education in early brain development, pediatric Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), sensory processing intervention, functional strengthening in children, and therapeutic touch. (NTMC-TC) Lori is also a certified infant massage instructor and trainer and certified baby-wearing educator.

Lori realizes the importance of ongoing treatment and support for children who are experiencing difficulties with motor skills and she loves her job! She is flexible and highly creative in developing a plan of care that makes therapy fun and effective through play and being a little bit silly.
